Know it intimately

Yes, you know your product, but can you see your product as others will see it? Consider exactly the What, Who, Where, When, Why and How of it. Now do the same for your competitions's product. Now consider: Where is your product best placed for marketabilty? Refer back to your marketing plan. Is it still in alignment? Now, the customer; don't just put yourself in their shoes to view your product from their perspective, be the customer!
