T’ai Chi Chu'an means 'Ultimate Fist', reflecting its power and usage as a martial art. Mostly though, Tai Chi is practiced as a form of moving meditation in which rejuvenation occours and fitness is improved.

Chi Kung
Chi Kung, or Chi Gung, is where Chi (energy) is directed for rejuvenation and healing. It is an internal process and is a focussed application of tai chi.

Whereas tai chi promotes the flow and distribution of chi, chi kung movements and exercises are shorter, simpler and practiced with greater repetitions rather than the usual 24, or 108 posture forms.
